Hoping to begin a weekly commentary on local trends in design in the Charlotte area, I'll start with my favorite color: blue.
From my work as an architectural and real estate photographer, I've noticed that blue remains a very popular color in local homes. Builders and interior designers are using it boldly in new and renovated luxury homes, and the top home stagers in the area use it to update luxury listings.
One example can be seen in these recent photos of a stunning new build by Arcadia Builders. A beautiful shade of blue makes an eye-catching statement against a back drop of white in the kitchen and the great room. Other rooms have been painted a lovely and relaxing shade of blue. In my view, these blues are in perfect harmony with the setting of the home: a large lot overlooking Lake Norman.
